IT RAINED. It turned out to be expensive for some people. We arrived
at 09.00 only to find the circuit to be wet. Going out for a test before
the first round I managed to get water in my speedo even though it was
in a balloon. TOP TIP: Dont use balloons as they make the speedo/receiver
sweat, use DucTape.
I missed the first two round whilst I replaced the speedo, (there was
four rounds plus a final), Steve managed to burn-out his £125 speedo. There
was 12 entries so we decided to run 2 heats of 6 in each and marshall ourselves,
some car racers dont know how to launch bikes. Again there was some problems
with the timing but hopfully it will improve over time.
Unfortunatly Chris Wright deleted all his pics off his camera by mistake
and I never took mine so no current pics from Carlisle but I`ve still got
some from Brookland and the Carlisle Winter Series. Halifax in two weeks,
if it`s damp or wet it will be damn-near impossible to get round.
