£89.99 + P&P The Team Benwell chassis set, BD4 utilises the proven geometry of the 2002 British championship-winning bike with further advances made in terms of weight distribution. It can be added to a completely standard Nuova Faor or Thunder tiger bike kit with no modifications required to the suspension and only a simple modification required to the rear shock. (No more lengthening fork legs or playing with rear shock position). To compete the bike you do however require either a second set of the plastic spacer tubes and long 3mm studding (X21) or, for the ultimate setup, two sets of the aluminium spacer sets (X21A). You will also want a second front tank / body mount (X17) or similar and some means of holding in the batteries, Velcro etc.
The resulting chassis is more rigid and lighter than kit. It provides for easier installation of all the radio equipment and allows the bike to be dismantled with out any of this being upset. Ultimately it is no quicker than a 'Benwelled' kit bike but then not every one can have a 'Benwelled' bike…….But every one could have a BD4!
