******************************************************************************** ***************************Team Benwell Short Test Report*********************** ******************************************************************************** Test Number: 031 Name: Ian Foxwell Chassis: NF502 chassis no. 1 Date: 29-05-02 Time: 14.00-16.00 Place: Travel lodge Weather: dry/damp tests in between showers Object of test: further tests on fork angle steering damper etc ******************************************************************************** Modifications: None as per test 29 and 30 ******************************************************************************** Results: Test 1 22 deg head angle. No steering damper. Ride height set with bat slightly lower at rear Good now that everything is built correctly. Turns well. Occasional bas cat 2 wobble but just about controllable. Gentle cat 1 wobbles but only develop in to cat 3 under hard acceleration. In other words controllable. Definitely turns better at slow speeds, hard to evaluate high speed Test 2 20 deg head angle no other changes Slightly worse. No appreciable difference in steering ability or wobbles however... Tucks into slow turns. the front turns to far then washes out. Bike falls onto side guards and its then very hard to pick up. Large amounts of steering trying to turn into the corner is required to help it pick up. I think this is to far. the front is now so unstable that it cant ride itself out of corner
